Brief bio:
Ricardo R. Pavan, PhD, has a background in bioinformatics and an MBA in Data Science. He works at The Ohio State University as a postdoc, where he transforms complex microbiome, virome, and multi-omics datasets into reproducible analyses, clear visualizations, and biologically meaningful insights. He develops computational workflows and open-source bioinformatics tools and collaborates with interdisciplinary research teams across human health, environmental science, and microbial ecology. His research interests include genome-resolved metagenomics, microbial ecology, statistical modeling, machine learning, and scalable data analysis.
